Snow realityNo overselling
Northeast China gets real natural snowfall — more than Chongli, far less than Japan. Beidahu's snow is cold and dry, topped up by snowmaking, and the 870 m vertical is the biggest in the region: genuine top-to-bottom runs that feel like a proper mountain. It is bitterly cold (−20 °C days are normal in January) and wind can close the upper lifts. Powder days happen; they're a treat, not a schedule.
