Snow realityNo overselling
Same northeast pattern as Beidahu: real cold-climate snow with man-made top-up, kept in excellent shape by a serious grooming operation. The terrain skews friendlier than Beidahu — long cruisy blues rather than sustained steeps — and the lower elevation means the season is a touch shorter. The marketing line 'China's Best Ski Resort nine years running' is about service polish, and on that front it genuinely delivers.
Come here for
- ✓Intermediates and families who want northeast snow with Vanke-level polish
- ✓Ikon Pass holders pairing it with Beidahu in one Jilin trip
- ✓Harbin Ice Festival add-on — the classic winter combo
Skip it if
Advanced skiers as a main destination — you'll exhaust the challenge quickly; use it as the comfortable half of a Jilin double.
Getting there
HSR to Jilin City, then ~20–30 min taxi. The closest proper resort to any northeast city — doable as a long day trip from Changchun.
Where to stay
Slopeside: Westin and Prince hotels (~$90–200). Jilin City (~$30–60) is 25 min away.
How tickets actually get bought
